Alberta Association of Library Technicians (AALT) is dedicated to fostering and enhancing the professional image of Library Technicians. AALT was formed in 1974 to help promote a wider understanding and acceptance of the Library Technician's status in Alberta and to assist in the implementation of recognized provincial education standards.

June 8, 2009 The Spring 2009 issue of the AALT Technician is now available in the Members Only site, and the Spring 2008 AALT Journal is now on the AALT public site. The Journal Co-Editors are now accepting articles for the Summer 2009 issue. Submission deadline is July 10, 2009.

May 21, 2009 AALT elects new Board of Directors.

May 21, 2009 Janet Day presented with the 2009 Library Technician Award of Excellence.

May 21, 2009 Linda Duplessis receives AALT Advocacy Award at 2009 AALT conference.

April 3, 2009 Conference Early Bird deadline has been extended until Friday, April 10! Now that’s something to Celebrate!

March 30 , 2009 The Winter 2009 issue of the AALT Technician is now available in the Members Only site, and the Winter 2008 AALT Journal is now on the AALT public site. The Journal Co-Editors are now accepting articles for the Spring 2009 issue. Submission deadline is April 10, 2009.

March 23, 2009 The new Online Registration System (ORS) is up, running, and waiting for your conference and membership registrations! Conference Early Bird Deadline is March 31!

July 14, 2008 AALT Job boards are once again operational. Thank you for your patience as we tried to figure out what was wrong and fix the errors.
